The Doctor left the confines of the TARDIS, where he seemed to be hiding a lot these days, and went in search of River. He hadn't been paying as much attention to her, to anyone really, as he should have done since he'd been back. He was still trying to get his bearings, and it didn't seem to be as easy as it used to be. The walls he'd carefully constructed around his deeper emotions had been cracked by River, Rose and the Master, and at times it chafed in ways it shouldn't. His guilt about what they'd done to Schuldich had faded at least, though it had come at the expense of the the afternoon he'd spent with the Master being punished in his own way.
It was time to move forward and first things first, he needed to help River get her own bearings back.
He peeked his head inside the library, his hands tucked away in his pockets. "I found you," he smiled, walking toward River.
