The blonde stood behind the other girl, ready to enter just after her when she heard the faint sigh.

"If you're thinking that this place doesn't have nearly as good of a cup of coffee as Starbucks, you're so wrong." Maxie said firmly, stepping into the cafe behind the other woman, adjusting the strap to her bag on her shoulder, "It's a world better. I mean, granted, you don't get the trendy little mermaid or whatever the hell is on those five dollar cups, but you get way better coffee for way less and plus, the staff on the male side aren't hard on the eyes." With a roll of her eyes, Maxie added, "Not like those Emo corporate business wanna-be haters that work at Starbucks."

Starbucks. It was certainly an unfamiliar brand to Chuck's ears, and she sounded it out in her head a few times before replying brightly.

"I hadn't considered getting coffee, actually," she admitted. "I was just exploring, and somewhere in my exploration I managed to wander in here. But you're right, it does excude an inviting atmosphere, and the men working behind the counter are reasonably attractive."

She was entering a cafe and not considering getting coffee? Yeah, cos that made sense. Well, it didn't until the other mentioned she was exploring. Maxie didn't need a degree in well, anything to know that meant, "Your new." The blonde said without question.

"Reasonably?" A small laugh, "You really are new. Because the majority of the guys in this town are either way too old or just look like some kind of warped idea from Quentin Tarantino." A pause as she stepped up to the counter, "Actually, that's not entirely true. There are some hot guys outside this cafe, but with any luck they're gay." Realizing she had yet to introduce herself, Maxie turned back to the other woman and extended a hand, "I'm Maxie."

"So it would seem," Chuck responded, her expression never wavering as she looked around with wide eyes.

"I suppose attractiveness is a relative term. Because we really can't help who we're attracted to, and who knows? We could be attracted to someone who, by all accounts and purposes, is one of the least attractive someones to someone else." She took the hand offered to her, shaking it gently, and then realized she didn't need to use a false name here. It was likely no one had heard about her sort of being really dead.

"Charlotte Charles, but everyone calls me Chuck."
