She walked quickly in the cold, it was certainly colder here than it had been where she grew up on Caprica, but, she was getting used to it.

She pushed the door to the coffee shop open, hearing the ting-a-ling of the bell as she did. Kara scanned the room with a warriors instincts and finally let down her guard when she noticed the President sitting at a booth.
"Madam Pres...I mean, Laura," Kara stood at the table, respectfully.
Laura stood and couldn't help but give a smile. She was glad to see the young woman. "Kara, it's good to see you again."
She remembered suddenly, being in that conference room, trying to come up with strategy after strategy, and then finally hugging Kara in relief. It made her smile softly as she sat down.
"Thank you for coming out. I know the weather isn't that...favorable."
