tactile, but not in memory

who: river and master
what: just...chillin'
when: Nov. 27 night
where: the mansion
rating: low, probably?

For as long as River had doubted the Master -- questioned his every move and motivation -- she would need to be blind, deaf, and talentless to not sense the bond between him and her Doctor. That sense of something content between them made the Master tolerable. Pleasant, even. (Though only after a fashion.)

And he'd been in her mind too; River could sense his touch in the foggy parts, when she'd become lost and woken up with Kaylee, only to have the Doctor missing from her world. The parts she couldn't remember were troubling and lost, and yet they weren't the reason she was coming to visit the Time Lord in his office at odd hours of the night.

She peeked inside without knocking, fingers curling around the wood of the door and gently tugging it open the few more inches to allow herself to slip inside. The presence of her scrambled mind, however, would probably be more than enough to alert him of her presence.

river tam, *status-complete, the master
