Yes, we did! It was also our first post from a non-institution since moving in I think. Much appreciated - such pangs I felt at that banal view of Winthrop Hall and the duck pond :-)

Funerals suck. However they do let you get a lot of grief out in one go, with a lot of people around to support you. Something on your mind?

There's always something on my mind (usually Friday), but in this case it was just a combination of brain-fry from working late and talking to nephron, who deals with up-close-death (with, not in, you understand) on a daily basis.

indeed funerals suck. i wish that at the time i had held the ability to make decisions, and thus to choose to not attend. instead i get sped up in the whole thing and go, without realising that i have a choice... and these funerals, they stick to me. music... so many of my favourite songs have now been banned. and when they innocently pop up in social gatherings, it is difficult to continue with life as you were before that opening chord was struck. i do feel extremely haunted by those funerals. i have only been to two, and both of them were for close friends of mine. and both suicides that no one saw coming. one a double suicide whose funeral i had to help plan ( ... )

Thanks! By the way I've had about half a dozen cups of tea out of that lovely little teapot you gave us today - works like a charm.
