-- On the off chance that anyone on board the Normandy is receiving this signal? This is Garrus Vakarian.

[ The voice that flickers on in a burst of static sounds like it has some kind of effect added to it -- like there are two tones, speaking at once, a lower-pitched hum barely audible underneath a more normal sounding voice. To anyone in the ( Read more... )

if it helps, several questions regarding the ship were answered here.

Somehow, I don't think someone who can't tell us about the layout of his ship can be considered a Captain.

Or a useful source of information.

i won't argue that, but it is what it is. he's presently our most reliable source for information.

[ lol like arthur even bothered sifting through the majority of the post anyway ]

Assuming he can be trusted.

Have you spoken to him, then?

Nothing strikes me as familiar but from how the 'crew' is talking, it should not.

I was hoping they might be wrong.

Guess it was a long shot, anyway. I've never heard of any of this technology in my life.

Same here. Most of the technology where I come from is close to this level but some of this stuff... I'm not sure what to make of it.

Any form of travel that requires us to be in specialized units to prevent injury doesn't sound particularly stable.

At least there are a lot of us, around. [ a beat. ] Small comfort, but it's all we have.

I'm pretty sure a post-saving the galaxy vacation was part of my contract when I signed up. Oh, well.

At least you got it down on paper. I thought the vacation was a given.

I guess it could be worse.

We could be getting turned into goo in order to build a giant human-Turian-Quarian-machine hybrid as we speak.

I don't want to even begin to imagine what that looks like.

The technology is pretty straightforward with a handbook, but it's way too advanced to be anything Earth's space agencies have come up with.

[ Not commenting on the "saving the galaxy" portion of this broadcast. If it's anything like "saving half of the solar system", Mace gets it. ]

[ the galaxy is bigger than the solar system and garrus clearly had the harder time!! ]

Doesn't look like any vessel I know, Alliance or not. Nothing else is familiar, either, and I can't say I care for what they've said about jumping.

[ SAME DIFFERENCE ]

Looks like it's not any vessel anybody knows. [ Which puts them all at a severe disadvantage but details, because it's not like they weren't disadvantaged already. ]

Alliance? That some kind of government where you're from?

[ look you saved half a solar system. there are many of those in a galaxy ]

Yes, but not mine. Human Systems Alliance.

I take it's different, where you're from.

Some of it looks familiar to me.

[but without getting elbow deep in some of the complexes, Jim can't be sure.]

That's a start.

Nice knowing that we aren't stuck on a ship that's completely foreign to everyone on board.

Just most of us, from the sounds of it.

[not very promising, but, what can you do.]

Once I get a better look at the systems I'll be able to see if my theories have any basis, but this ship is unlike anything the Federation I know has developed as of yet.

Still better than all of us.

[ BRIGHT SIDE, JIM! ]

It's unlike anything I know. I take it that the Federation would be your equivalent of the human Systems Alliance I'm more familiar with -- so this is a human vessel, after all?
