I'm guessing they were desperate. Any back-up forces they might have had were stuck off-planet like ours. If they were able to get the Stellar Spanner working, they would be able to overrun us on Earth. Since I'm not where I'm supposed to be, I'm hoping that deters them.

We ended up on Earth when the dying state of our planet pushed the Autobots to seek new worlds to conquer. A ship of Decepticons followed them. Due to certain unexpected technological advances in the humans race, once we reached the Sol system both us and the Autobots' ship were shot down. Now we're all stranded there. The Earth is in danger from the Autobots because it's rich in a certain energy we can use. My faction is trying to keep them under control, but if they manage to bring in reinforcements we would be quickly beaten. The Autobots are not good guys. At least, they aren't in my universe. Ratchet and Red Alert are all right.
