I haven't been in anywhere near as many games, but I've met a lot of people, too... RPs are a great way to meet people, huh? I think I enjoy the part of making friends and discussing things out better than the actual RPing. Which is probably why I'm such a plotty whore, plot requires communication to be carried out effectively...

Of course, since people are involved, it's also great drama-bait, so in the end you end up on speaking terms with only the few you click best with... It's a natural process I think.

(also randomly: I AM SO AMUSED. Just recently LJ user shirochan joined Midgard and it makes me giggle. Also I don't know what to call them, sob.)

Thinking it over, I can remember the main reasons why I've lost touch with most of the people - and yea, most of it's drama-related. Or personality clashes. Or just general asshattery all around. But RPing really IS a great way to meet people.

I mean, it's a group that comes together with a similiar interest, and the more time you spend with everyone else (especially when there's heavy plotting involved), the better you get to know people and things can either get better or snowball from there.

(XDD Oh man.)

I could give my comment on the whole, "Best Group of Friends" thing, but I really don't want to start any drama. And what I have to say would cause plenty of drama.

Eh, feel free to say whatever's on your mind. Honestly? No one in the group has been devoid of drama at one point or another. And it's silly to start drama over an opinion, right?

I found the LJ awards to be... I don't know, unfair.

How does one go around the whole entire LJ community and choose these things? It's only what is popular, right?

Either way... it's nice that you've listed all this. Shiro's always been kind of a mystery since she barely talks about herself, so it's nice when she does.

Just like you, I don't talk to a lot of people... but after _ff and CF, ... quite a few of you still keep in contact with me, which makes me happy. Maybe it's not everyday like it used to be, but it's enough for me.

I guess the only reason certain groups/people won is because they were the ones who not only found the awards, but voted in them. The people on my flist who made mention of the awards linked directly to the thread where they had voted. But popularity contests aren't that uncommon. It's why I used to vote for Captain Crunch for the student council back in high school. XD

XDD I think I make a habit of not talking too much about myself, but sometimes it helps to give perspective, you know?

Yeah, that's true too. But I don't like nominating for my own group or nominating for myself... it's kind of... umm... self-centered...

It's okay to not talk about yourself sometimes, but it's nice when you do. It's hard to see the person if they don't talk about themselves.

Frankly, even though it's annoying for you, it's interesting for me to see what happened each time at Wal-Mart. Not like an amused interesting (well sometimes they are that stupid) but more of a "... oh, so that is how Shiro handles it" or "That's what she went through..."

Yeah, same here. It means more if someone else nominates a group or a person, as opposed to the group or person nominating themself. I guess it seems a little egotistical.

XD Looking at someone's actions IS a good way to see what they're like, in a roundabout way.

*Feels all pround and such because she knows she's one of those special few from Group 8*

Not like you could get rid of me. Aris luffles Shiro to much to be forgotten like that.

Neon hit the nail on the hammer as to reasons why this sort of thing happens, though. In the end, people do fall out of touch on many levels with people and it's only those that we have truely strong connections that we find ourselfs handly chatting with years later.
Heck, sometimes I can't even belive I've known you for as long as I have...

:3 Like you could get rid of me if you tried~

Honestly, I'm sure I'd have the exact same conflicts now as I had when I first knew many of the people listed. But the more time spent without interaction kinda dulls the problems that were there. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or something like that. But really, it's great to know that there are a bunch of people I have a connection with, that has lasted despite conflict and problems.

What's it bordering on? Two years? Man...

Nothing short of a nuclear explotion, wot? ♥

Indeed. Absence does make the heart grow fonder... or insanely bitter. Thankfully that's not the case here. Who needs more internet drama, after all?

_FF ended my last year of highschool, started the summer it began, so.. yeah. We've known each other almost two years now...

;D And Shiro doesn't look a day older then when I met her.

Popularity contests are always so stupid.

However, it is good that it got you to reflect on the friends that you've made over time. Like Neon said, I think it's a natural progression that brings us together and then sometimes draws us apart. It really does make the relationships that we keep that much sweeter.
