BB Cream. I really am turning Asian.

So. I feel like I’m sort of late on the bandwagon with this stuff and after everyone here (in Asia) seem s to be going crazy over it… (including Martina), I figured I’d buy few tubes for myself to test.

For those not in the know yet. BB stands for ‘Blemish Balm’. Wikipedia tells me the formula was created in Germany (WTF), but it first spread ( Read more... )

You should, it's pretty amazing stuff. I like my face, but I like it better with the stuff on it. XD Despite the lack of freckles. I need to find something for that. =/

my face is a no-gunk zone...i avoid makeup like the plague and that's why my skin's nice ...i only made the exception for my makeup course last year cause learning those techniques was more important, but ugh, my skin was not happy
also stuff that erases your freckles has gotta be really toxic in some way or another, cause that's just weird :S

BB cream is more like a tinted day cream than make-up, I'd say?

Oh, it was you. LMAO. I replied to the freckle thing on Gtalk to doujoushin, because I thought she said it. LOL. It doesn't erase my freckles, it just covers them. I would never want to permanently get rid of them. O.o

I wish I had a BB cream and I wish it'd work on my skin? But I'm so fucking scared of stuff like that, since some foundation I had made my skin even drier than it is and... I mean, my skin is like sandpaper >> Only now that summer comes it'll get better. .__. Guess I should go to a drugstore and check something out... when I have money though. /waits for August.

Have you tried it? It's pretty moist compared to foundation. Foundation (at least the ones I tend to use) starts out liquid and then turns sort of dusty, which is responsible for the whole hotcake look (as they call it in Japan, lol). Because most BB creams contain so many ingredients, including moisturising ones, I think they might work for you.

Yeah, I think they might work if I get some help with finding the right one when I go to the store? But, no money so have to wait for August lol.

Yeah, although they look entirely different on your hand and face, though. Just so you know when you're testing them. None of them looked particularly white on my hand (even though my arms are tanned liekwhoah), but they do on my face.

why so surprised? we do have a big cosmetics industry in good ol' germany ;P

(I actually came accross the guy who had the idea (he was a higher level dude at Beiersdorf if I'm not mistaken and responsible for the Asian market at the time when I came accross him)... my mental reaction was "OMG you're the godfather of 'whitening sauce'!" because that's what's one japanese brand of this stuff is called XD - he never thought his stuff would be such a BIG HIT in asia...because it had started out as something so specialized and small)

aw freckle-less ecchi :3

Because it seems weird? I always figured it'd been created in Korea. I can't imagine Germans actually being into it. I would have heard of this stuff 20 years ago then. XD

Yeah, the whitening thing actually bothers me about it, lmao. You have to be careful in buying it. I'm pretty damn pale (I always have to use the lightest type of foundation), but I'm sort of tanned now and I have SO many freckles it freaks me out to see myself all white again. XD

IKR. =( *loves them*
