A Never-Ending Story - Revising WRU

Jan 19, 2014 18:43

I really don't know how many times I've made attempts to revise my first (and only) multi-chapter story "What Remains Untold". The first time I gave up after chapter II or so, the last time I can't even remember, but there must have been something, because I still have a file called "WRU2013" or sorts stored away on my hard-drive. Honestly, I have ( Read more... )

what remains, writing, caranthir/haleth

You're still around! I'm so looking forward to new WRU.

Also, have you seen how many people actually seem to like Caranthir these days? When did THAT happen!? ;)

Oh yes, I am! And I fear I have no relevant excuse for my looong absence apart from the fact that since I've been working full-time I keep turning into a zombie each evening after 6 p.m. and on weekends. I'm really not a full-time person, I fear. I mean, it's making a whole lot of things possible for me that weren't possible before (like regular vacations, yay!), but it leaves me so little personal time it's sometimes frustrating. And I'm saying this when I actually love my job! How must it be for someone who doesn't? But okay, enough whining for today. What are you doing at the moment?

And as for the Caranthir-thing: Seems like we're trendsetters! ;)

I feel you! I'm up to pretty much the same -- working! Half time in an office job and half time out with horses. I like both, and the fact that the two are so different so far keeps me from feeling too burned out, but it does leave me pretty much brain-dead most evenings! But I can't really complain when it pays the rent.

Re: Caranthir. We really must be! Unrelated, one of "my" horses I've now nicknamed Caranthir-pony. *groan*

Oh yes, "brain-dead" describes my condition most evenings quite, quite well (you can see this in how long it took me to write a simple answer to your comment)! As I said, I'm happy I love my job, otherwise I'd go mad. (And yes, the "paying the rent" aspect is not quite unimportant either...)

It's funny, when I still went riding regularly, I rode a Caranthir-horse, too. Such a cranky thing he was. Though I have to say we got along splendidly as soon as I had managed to somehow saddle him without getting kicked...
