or Never Underestimate the frailty of garbage bags.

One of my "chores" is cleaning the cat boxes. Normally this, while an unpleasant chore, doesn't rate high on the suck scale. But Klondike and Klia are on a special diet that means they drink like camels and pee like racehorses. I have to use puppy training pads to line the box under the plastic ( Read more... )

That sucks and it's happened to me before. For giftmas my mom got me a littermaid and I LOVE it. I have 4 cats. I just dump the "catch" tray out into a walmart sack, add a few scoupes of new litter and throw the Walmart sack away. It takes 3 seconds and the litter box is always clean. I reuse the catch box for about a month before I replace it. The cats and I both love it. I recommend it if you ever have the chance.

I WISH but LitterMaids need clumping litter and the vast quantities of pee these kitties produce (Klondike was diagnosed with urinary crystals 2 yrs ago so he has food that makes him drink and pee lots. Klia is healthy, but shares his food so she also drinks and pees LOTS.) just turns clumping litter to a wet runny mess.

And Klondike doesn't like clumping litter because it sticks to his feet and gets between his toes. Klia doesn't care, I've caught her using Salome's box (in the attic in my room).

We had a Littermaid. We also have one cat who would spend endless hours entertaining herself with it by pawing into the litterbox just to see it "wake up" and run. It burned out in less than a year because of Noon.

ROFL I can see Pixel doing that, not Noon. That's too funny.
