Soundtrack - Stargate SG-1 - Daniel Jackson - walking on clouds, walking on stars (part one of two)
Okay! I know I talked about doing a John Sheppard mix a while back, but Daniel won out for right now!
So, this mix has been in the making for quite a while - about a month, but I've been wanting to do it for a lot longer. It's the first of two parts, with the first part covering the original film plus the first five seasons & the second part covering seasons six through ten & possibly Continuum & The Ark of Truth, depending on when I release the second part.
Admittedly, this wasn't the easiest mix to make - with ten years of canon to work through, I almost didn't do it at all! But then I decided to divide each part into half a decade & try & score the most important aspects of Daniel's life & career at the SGC.
The first part of my mix has a more dreamlike, whimsical, emotional feel to it compared to the second part - I always saw Daniel in both the film & in the first five seasons as a dreamy idealist - someone who thinks more with his heart, rather than his head. It's part of why I love him as much as I do, really, so I had the first part of my mix reflect that. Also, this mix isn't particularly shippy - I'm saving that for future mixes. ::laughs::
I'd also like to thank colonel_taisa for all of her help with lyric meta & for not screaming 'I DON'T CARE ELIZABETH, GO AWAY!' at me when I'd take up whole chats with meta-ing, as well as my darling lost_little_nat, for being supportive & encouraging, even though it's been a while since she's watched any SG-1!
