Hi everyone, kinda new to the fandom even though I'd heard about the series for a long while now; I thought Torchwood was Deadwood, go figure, & hideous moustaches & sideburns turn me off. T_T ( Read more... )

Given that I'm new to the fandom, myself, I don't know who Jack would choose -- but wouldn't that make a terrific story?

Even better? If TPTB actually goes down that road. I mean, we only have Jack's word that the Captain died. We don't know for sure what happened, except what the other squadron members said happened & reported.

Yes, new & a tad fixated. ;P

In my heart of hearts, I would love to say he'd choose the Captain but I have a feeling he'd choose the Doctor.

Either way...I feel a plot bunny coming to add to the ever growing pile I have in my head!!

I wouldn't say we're cynical...more...realistic I think.

Already have about 5 or so plunnies I'm currently working on including two mutli-part fics with our favouritte Captains. As I said, this will go on he ever-growing pile to be done whenever I get some spare time...

There have bee a lot of fics where Jack has changed things so much 'real' Jack survives but coz of the homophobis/legal thing changes his name and meet again with our Jack but pre-Dcotor in London. Check out Torchwood library under Jack/Jack.

As for his choice I reckon the Doctor, BUT somehow persudes him to allow him to somehow bring Jack just before his plane explodes. There wasn't a body....

Jack always wants his cake AND eat it!

Have you read 'The Torchwood patient' a badly nurnt man falls thro the rift and Torchwood1 have him and Ianto recuse him fall in love with him and they live together (in secret) in Cardiff. Tho Ianto has n with our Jack. Can't remebr who wrote it or where it is but it is a good one!

I've ransacked the Library quite a bit, thanks, & really enjoyed the fics. The one you mentioned specifically *points up* there had such a sad taste of irony to it.

It would depend which Doctor it was, I think.

If it was the Nineth Doctor, I think Jack would have a hard time choosing.
If it was the Tenth Doctor, I think it would depend on whether you're talking pre or post Season Three! hehe, you know how funny these time traveling things work!

Though really, I'd love for Jack to pick the Captain!
