“Come with me?” You whisper though you know you shouldn’t, knowing it could mess up a thousand and one timelines but a part of you just can’t seem to care, not when Jack’s looking at you with lust-dampened eyes, his lips glistening red from a kiss too pain-filled to ever properly say goodbye.
“Where?” Jack asks shakily as his eyes stray over your shoulder, staring frantically into the light of the calling rift.
“Come with me.” You urge, desperate; unable to explain, purposefully ignorant of the consequences.
“Stay with me?” Jack asks instead. But you can’t. Neither of you can.
