Okay these are all fantastic, you all did an amazing job but I finally made a choice.

And this is me being really thick here but whats the difference? I always thought banner was another name for a LJ header *headdesk*

There is no difference between a header and a banner, I've only used the two terms to try and ensure people don't get confused about which one they're voting for :S (the 'banner' for the top of the community, the 'header' for in the user info) so don't worry, you're not being thick at all!
