083. Sunday Book Discussion: NOT recommended ...

For today's topic: I know that it is common for you to recommend a book or take a recommendation from someone. However, I wonder about NOT recommending a book or decide not to read a book because someone tell you NOT to.

Have you ever recommending someone NOT to read a certain book? What reason usually you use? And vice versa

Well, if I know a friend of mine decides on reading a book I already read and I didn't like it at all, I tell that I wouldn't read it, but because of the fact that I'm very picky and a fast quitter my friend usually don't listen to me. *gg*

Yes I did. Mostly when someone told me he/she wanted to read a book I've read and I was sure that he/she wouldn't like it...but on the other hand I always tell others to try it. Tastes are different and sometimes a book works for someone else better than for myself. :)

I do tell people if I didn't like something, but I like to still leave it up to them, since tastes are different.

outcomewolves and I tell each other books are bad all of the time, but we both often like to read them anyway and find out for ourselves, lol.
