[It took a great deal of fiddling, and after fleeing from the falling comm, she hears a click and waddles around it to investigate.]

What an odd device. I wonder if someone can hear me.

[Feathers rustle]

It's almost time. I need to find water.

!swan, like a swan, he has me under a spell, kage, princess zelda, !voice

I imagine by now you have surely had someone make mention, but I believe there is water on the second deck. Of course, there is water around the entire ship, but it would seem any attempt to go overboard may very well simply bring you back.

[She can't say you'd find that water you so long crave for.]

This may seem like a very odd question for me to ask, but why is this water so important to you? I could understand perhaps for other things such as failing to be punctual for a particular meeting.

[Maybe that's what it is.]

Somehow that seems not quite the way I expect it to be.

It's not strange at all.

I'm under a spell. When the moon sets, I turn into a swan and if I want to be human again, I have to be on the water.

[Zelda... blinks. Most people wouldn't admit something like that. Zelda knows better, though. This Odette... She seems so foolishly naive, and for that, Zelda better keep an eye on her.]

I see...
You may find it more in your favor not to publicly announce that. There are some aboard who would see to exploit you rather than to help you.

[Not that they wouldn't be punished for it, she hopes, just simply that the possibility is there. It's why Zelda has never announced that she and Sheik are... Well... Sentenced to sharing one body.]

On the other hand, that seems to be an either terribly useful or obnoxious turn of events to endure...

[She'll catch on quickly. But she'll appreciate having someone with a little more experience on the ship around.]

I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.

It's obnoxious. He did it because I refused to give him my father's kingdom.

Your father's...

[Oh!]

Princess... Odette, then?

[Zelda dislikes it very much to be informal with fellow royalty.]

Yes it is.

[There's a smile in her voice. She's not confined to her title. Which is why she prefers to simply be called Odette.]

But I will always be just Odette.

Oh... Well...

[She doesn't know... Zelda's pretty dedicated to her position.]

If you insist.

[Odette is too. But would like to define the title, instead of the other way around.]

I hope it doesn't make you uncomfortable.

No. Of course not.

[Only a little. Zelda will manage.]
