Well. Today I woke up, went and opened a bank account (and ordered pretty Smithsonian space-themed checks!), and then promptly came home and fell asleep until dinner. So I wandered into a Petland today seeing some dry goods for my aquariums, and lo and behold, I find a pair of quarter-sized Pterophyllum altum there.

It's hard to convey how exciting this was to anyone who doesn't know fish, but I'll phrase it this way: you never see altum angelfish in CT, much less in a lame chain pet store like Petland. So, ( Read more... )
