"Oh, you're looking for the packing tape. Well, that I didn't eat for breakfast. So there."

My mother has me sitting here in front of Joe (the compy) printing out photos of the family to include in her X-mas cards. Why she can't just do what I do and mail cards without photos is beyond me, but now I'm stuck here feeding the printer little 4x6 photo sheets one at a time, because otherwise it will have a conniption and eat about eight ( Read more... )

Not many Christmas carols! But Christmas isn't Christmas-ey without the music. I'll have to send you all the songs I put in my list so you can listen to them... they're all in English; though, oddly enough, several are translations from other languages... "Silent Night" was originally German, you might know it as "Stille Nacht" and "The Gift" (the one with the poor orphan Maria) is based on a... can't remember if it's Mexican or Argentine, but one of the two, tale about the first nightingale (there's a variation of the story about pointsettas as well, but I don't think they made that one into a song.)

I should warn you, though, that a good half of my list above is very traditional, religiously-inclined music. I'm not Christian myself, but I still think it's pretty music ^^ The other half is made up of a few pop songs and one orchestral piece. I have most of them on my compy; I'll compile it into a zip folder and upload it for you in a bit, if only to give you something new to listen to. Only one I think I'm missing is Silent Night.

Oh I would love to listen to them!!! I wanted to make a post in my journal to ask if someone had christmas carols to share lol! "Silent Night" also has a french translation, it's called "Douce Nuit", and "Jingle Bells" is "Vive le vent" It really have nothing to do with the original XD

If you could upload carols for me, that would be awesome!!! =D

"Vive le vent" - either my understanding of latin root words is screwed up, or that's saying something about "living" and "wind" - dare I ask?

XD After much poking and prodding of my music files to try and stick them in one folder, I have decided it will simply be easier to email them to you. I'm going to start that right now, so check your inbox in a little bit!
