I Believe I Have Passed Another Threshold Of Fannish Obsession

So, apparently I've now started dreaming about The Pretender.

I blame the virtual season 5 for this one. I've started reading it after somebody recced it to me on rebuilding_sl27, and I'm enjoying it. It's uncannily like suddenly having new episodes, and so far it's displaying considerably more sense and sanity than the movies. But it's also cranking the ( Read more... )

my brain, pretender

I rather enjoyed the Virtual Seasons a lot, up to the point of creating genealogical charts to try to keep track. :D

And that is a terrific dream!

I've read three or four episodes now, but have come to the conclusion that, as with the show itself, I need to not binge on too much of it at once or I'll overdose. :)

And I'm not sure I'd have the courage to make genealogical charts for anything involving The Pretender. They'd surely end up being non-Euclidean, and if you stare at them too long, you'll probably go mad. Like a Lovecraft character. ;)

There were many cross-references and color-coded cells in my Excel file.

And I'm not mad, demonstrably. :)

Look, I dreamed about Jarriere and Tyce last week. And they were never even on screen together.

I really ought to have a Jarriere/Tyce icon, since it's been my OTP for several years. I did have a go once, but wasn't satisfied. I should try again, as I spent a silly amount of time last night working on an icon to illustrate my dream about Pryzbylewski from The Wire becoming the hero of a Tolkienish quest.

I Believe I Have Passed Another Threshold Of Fannish Obsession

I'm so very proud.

But apparently my brain's putting in a vote for "Jarod & Sydney h/c" as a fic request.

I'm pleased that your brain is preparing itself for a long and fruitful Pretenderfic career. :)

You have created a monster! I'm not sure whether you should be proud or ashamed. :)

It really does seem to be. :)

I Believe I Have Passed Another Threshold Of Fannish Obsession Yep, it's a sign :)

I do it for all of mine, on a regular (and regularly crackish) basis...

I've certainly had Doctor Who and Farscape dreams before. And B7. And various stranger things. :)

Yep, been there done that... plus quite a lot of general SF-that-noone-but-me-would-watch types.

I am now rather apprehensive about Criminal Minds...
