Packing and Cleaning, Cleaning and Packing...

I feel the need to post a list of Things I Need to Do Before I Leave for Burbank, if only because I am convinced actually writing such a list and making it public will force me to figure out what isn't on the list and should be. So...

I need to... )

Speaking as someone has left an amazing number of things behind when leaving... minor things like my toothbrush, my one-and-only watch/timepiece (remembered over Singapore), towels (when I knew I was going somewhere they weren't supplied), the address I was going to (yes, went to the wrong one), wallet, credit cards, front-door key (on the way home a detour to Mother-Who-Kept-A-Spare was needed), pens (don't laugh till you've found yourself desperate to write something down, and having to keep repeating it to yourself all the way back to the hotel...) and even clothes (Armidale. Week-long residential. Opened suitcase to find undies and nothing else ( ... )

Wow. I will never imagine that I am bad about forgetting things again. :)

Mind, you I tend to carry a phenomenal amount of stuff in my handbag as a matter of course. Which reminds me of another absolute must-do item: I must take my swiss army knife out of my purse and put it into my suitcase, or they will attempt to take it away from me, and I will not be parted from it. :)

I sometimes feel that no one in the Western World is as good at forgetting things as me...

Especially since I forgot to mention the time I went to stay with Beloved Relatives for Christmas, and forgot to pack... you guess it?... some of the presents.

I'm packed, but for shirts hanging up by suitcase. Toiletries, clothes, the essentials. That's the suitcase. My computer case will carry laptop, books and a pack of CDs. :note: buy headphones tomorrow.

Mom is right here, and will feed cats for me. :)

Sounds like you're ahead of me, then! Although I have no need to pack CDs, at least. I love my 'lil mp3 player, and the way it allows me to carry my entire music collection everywhere. *hugs it* I think I'll be feeling the lack of a laptop, though. My internet! My sweet, sweet internet! :)

Who's looking after the cats and kitten?

A co-worker of mine. Little Vir is going to stay safe and sound in Kitten World with his food and toys and litterbox and scratching post, and my friend is going to look in a few times a day and bring his little daughter by to play with him.
