So, I've finally got around to starting Don Quixote, which I've been meaning to read for ages and ages. And, OK, I expected to find the character sort of familiar, because he's one of those archetypes or something, and you see the story itself referenced everywhere. It's a fun book, too. I'm ony a few chapters in, and I've laughed out loud several times.

Funnily enough, when I crawled into bed at 4.30 a.m., BBC World Service were broadcasting a reading of Don Quixote. A Duke and Duchess were playing practical jokes on him, though Sancho Panza was the butt of the joke, pretty much literally.

I haven't gotten that far, but we just had a lot of vomiting, which made me feel right at home, Farscape fan that I am.

And it suddenly occurs to me to wonder why on Earth I did not use "quixotic" for the mood on this post. Talk about missing a bet! :)
