My roomie made Reibekuchen today, also known as Kartoffelpuffer (hey, wouldn't that make a cool name for the next monster on Grimm - the Kartoffelpuffling?)... anyway, those are pankake-like things that consist of grated potatoes, onions, a bit of flour and a dash of salt.
