Brett is so adorbs in real life its so sweet. I also love he's a father its so heartmelting.

Chloe Bennet represents all PREACH SKYE PREACH!!! I mean in some aspects....like once he joined Coulson's team he definitely had the choice to speak up and continue to be part of these people who took him in as his family. But once he got into Garrett's grasp again he lost the will to choose again....and you can see that when he puts Fitzsimmons in the ocean.

I think once he realizes "okay I made a mistake and should have trusted Coulson and crew." He can go back on the path we say at the beginning.

Not really, though, I really don't think he did. You can only make a choice if you are aware of it, and there simply were no forks in the road visible from his point of view. He was there on a mission for Garrett and completely convinced he owed Garrett 100% loyalty -- the thought to defect wouldn't even have crossed his mind. In his mind Garrett was his savior, and kind of a father figure.

15 years of mind control don't just fall off like that, even if he unwittingly came to care for the team. After all, there was always Garrett's voice in his head reminding him that caring is a weakness.

Now that Garrett's out of the picture and he'll have time to reflect (and hopefully outside help, god) we'll see what happens. I'm very curious. I have no idea which road they're gonna take with him.
