I'm having a hard time coming up with a specific idea for a Leverage fanart because what I really want to do is something set during a con, preferably with some action going on, and these guys are so specialized it's tricky to come up with something that has all of them in the same frame at the same time. I'm wondering if I have to go with the ( Read more... )

All I can think of is, '"We're all mad here," said the cat with no head.'

I'm sure that doesn't help, lol.

But, for a team/con picture, maybe something of a con gone bad, like... one of them being detained somehow and the rest coming to rescue? Should be some good Eliot action shots in there. (High five for morale!)

Yeah, in the middle of a con gone bad, something like that. Maybe I can do it as sequential art/comic by connecting the single shots with bits of dialog through the earpieces. Hm. Maybe it's possible to squeeze a bit of a plot in there.

Actually I'd thought about hitting you up for a collaboration on something that can be illustrated, but you seemed to have your plate more than full already and I don't want to be pushy... But if, you know, you happen to get an idea for something like this, basically a ficlet that would work in comic format, I'd be quite interested.

Eliot for action shots, and Parker could be good for a stunt scene as well.

We should do a collaboration. Let's do one! My job is over at the end of the month, so I'll have a lot (a LOT) of free time.

I pimped womenlovefest myself, but boy, I don't want to read the posts. I don't want to know who is hated or why they're hated. I obviously live in a sheltered corner of fandom where awesome females are awesome. I'm keeping it that way.

Can't say I blame you. The best way to deal with the ickier side of fandom is to stay the hell away from it.

Though the posts in this fest are mostly about why the characters are loved, not so much why she's hated. Still, just being aware that she is hated is like a background dissonance, to me.

But see, I went there, and one of the things that *does* get mentioned is who is hated. And sometimes why. And that's totally new to me. I think my fandom experience has been really sheltered.

I do have some appreciation essays on some of the Buffy and Angel characters I could like to.

But I want team!

What about a con at a high-tech product convention? That would let Hardison be out in the open using one of a hundred different types of tech while Sophie and Nate work the crowd. Parker can have a hand in someone's pocket. And Eliot can be nearby looking beautiful. Or maybe have the bad guy in a headlock, dragging him out the door. :D

Hm, I'm usually too lazy to draw big crowds...

And Eliot can be nearby looking beautiful.
