I watch Leverage but I'm not at all fannish about it. And now I think I'm glad I'm not. What is wrong with people?

To be fair, it's a smallish fandom and I've only ran into it a handful of times. I'm feeling a lot more wary of getting into this fandom, though, I gotta admit. And, I just got a notice for an OT3 fic in my inbox (Hardison/Parker/Eliot) which I otherwise would've read even though I don't ship it... but I'm very much not in the mood right now. Because all the Nate bashing I've seen has come from OT3 shippers and now it's associated in my brain with something negative instead of something fun. I just don't get why fans do this.

Ironically I've mostly been wary of Sophie bashing, which *knock on wood* I haven't really encountered yet. (Fandom having a hate-on for my favorite female character is something like a universal law.)

Female characters seem to get bashed on general principles, which I'll never understand.

Have you tired watching "Burn Notice"? It shares some similarities with Leverage and is just as much fun.

Burn Notice, huh. I heard it mentioned but no, haven't watched it yet. At the moment I'm still happily busy with Leverage (I rarely watch more than one show at a time, I'm pretty much a fandom-serial-monogamist). And I still have half an unwatched season of Chuck. But I'll keep it in mind for when I'm looking for new shows.
