Bones archive question / Bones fanart / meta linkage

I received a question about Bones fic but I'm too out of touch with the fandom so I'm forwarding it to my friends list: Are there any good Bones fanfic archives where authors can upload fic? Back during S2 or so I had pondered making one using the BBFA's code, as that would've required only minor twisting. But then someone else mentioned they ( Read more... )

Cool closeup! I didn't remember seeing it zoomed in that much.

I have two small Bones pieces I have to get out (they're 90% done in my head fer Christ's sake), or feel guilty about forever:
the comic scene post-SV where Booth is getting out of the hospital,
and the real ending to SV:Umbra, when Brennan comes back to DC.

My enjoyment of the show itself has faded to the point I don't know if -- with a 'real' job now -- I'll ever write the big No Angel sequel.
But I still find myself thinking about periodically. Sigh.

BTW, I've succumbed to the charms of NCIS in reruns on USA network :)
In spite of my earlier criicisms.
No really great depth most of the time, but at least the writers have a more coherent sense of what the show is and who its characters are.

Although it does have a disconcerting habit of killing off some of the best damned, non-cookie-cutter, looking actresses I've seen in a while :)

Understandable. My own fannishness had faded a lot during season 3 but I was still watching every episode, then after the season 3 finale I just couldn't bring myself to watch any more. It's not so much that they turned sweet, brainy Zack into a murderer's apprentice... it's how they did it, so careless and with no regard for the viewer's intelligence. I can appreciate a dark turn in the storyline, but not writing of that magnitude of sloppiness. If that episode had been fanfic, it wouldn't have sailed.

That was a shame. The actress who played Kate wanted out, she didn't want to get stuck in a weekly show for years. I really like Ziva though (I just try very hard not to think about the Mossad-NCIS connection 'cause it makes very little sense.)

Re Kate, Sasha [drawing a blank!] is/was very striking. The non-Hollywood but exotic long nose really gave her beauty some character. I do have a weakness for fair-er skinned brunettes :) Online I saw some photos she did for one of the 'lad mags' and IMO she lost some of her looks by going lighter brown with her hair and doing the tanning bed thing ( ... )
