I mean granted, it's 80 degrees here and I still have my air conditioning on but you know, in theory, fall.
Which happens to be my most favorite season of them all.
Now I'm wishing I could make this whole thing rhyme but, alas. Anyway, fall themed drabble prompts (halloween, fall, ect), here.
prompts,
drabbles

She rolled her eyes. “Should we be worried?”
“Nah,” he said. “We’re fine.”
“The city is burning.”
“A very small part of a city that’s a long way from us.”
“How can you be so calm about all of this?” she asked. “This isn’t normal.”
“Welcome to Southern California, sweetheart. If you’re gonna stick around you better get used to fire season.”
“Normal places don’t have fire season,” she protested. “They call it fall instead.”
“Sounds pretty boring.”
“I’d take boring right about now.”
“Look, relax, okay? We’re fine.” He looked over at her. “Give me a little credit, you think I’d ever let anything happen to you.”
She blushed and looked down, toeing at the ground with her boot. “No, I guess that would make you a pretty terrible partner.”
“I always like to aim for just slightly above terrible.”

Welcome to Southern California, sweetheart.
*giggle* Yep, it's pretty fucking awesome.
Give me a little credit, you think I’d ever let anything happen to you.
I audibly "AWWED" at this. My cats are staring at me.

“What?” Jaimie asked groggily.
“Your feet.”
She glared at him and tugged at the blanket. “What about my feet?”
“They’re like two freaking ice cubes,” he said, pulling the blankets back.
She elbowed him, taking back the blankets and rolling onto her side. “It’s fall. It’s cold outside.”
“We live in Los Angeles.”
“You’re the one who’s always wearing a jacket,” she pointed out.
“That’s mostly just to cover my gun.”
“And because you have a leather fetish.”
“I wouldn’t call it a fetish, exactly, I just happen to know what looks good on me.”
She rolled onto her back and stared at him. “I’m sorry, you just sounded like such a chick.”
“Whatever.”
She laughed and snuggled closer to him.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Well since I’m so cold I figured we could cuddle. For warmth.”
“You wanna cuddle?” he asked with a smirk.
“Solely as a survival tactic.”
“I’m on to you, sweetheart.”
“Be nice or I’ll touch you with my feet again.”

Jaimie rolled her eyes. “Don’t sound so scared, it’s insulting.”
“No, no, just a little surprised,” he said.
“I’m not cooking anyway.”
“Did you get lost on your way to the living room?”
“Do you want me to kick your ass?”
“Not especially.”
“I’m making hot chocolate.”
“Hot chocolate,” he repeated.
“It’s chilly out.”
“Chilly.”
“Did you suddenly develop a hearing problem?”
“You know what, sweetheart, I think maybe I did.”
“Too bad, because I actually make really good hot chocolate.”
“I bet you do.”
She held up a mug. “Maybe if you’re really, really nice I’ll let you have some.”
“I’ll do my best.”
