Heh. Well, I can understand him because that`s how I fear I would act in a situation like this. I always admire people who seem to handle a disability with grace and optimism because I fear I`d be all grouchy and bitter towards my environment.
Thus, I tended to sympathize heavily with my Jensen when writing him, even or maybe especially when he acted like an ass. :)

I can understand where Jensen is coming from. I'm sure that it is difficult for him but that doesn't give him the right to keep taking it out on the people who are only trying to help him

I hope that spending time with Jared & the others will remind him of what he is missing.

True. On the other hand that is exactly like I would see myself reacting in a situation like this, holing up in my little "cave", licking my wounds and sniping at everybody that dares to come close. :)
