I loved getting to see Adama through Laura's point of view. Her reaction to his singing to her, about her. Also she has no problem telling him that he should stick to dancing. Hehehe!!
You have set a very vivid scene here and it is easy to see Laura, slightly uncomfortable, in the middle of it.
Probably just as well that everyone else was too drunk or preoccupied to notice his lack of subtlety but the important thing is that the one person who mattered knew what he was doing and had the sense to know that it's the thought that counts, not the voice. And, of course, he can dance - and probably do other things she likes too - so the evening is always going to end well.
Lovely warm and funny piece of work. Thank you Samantha
I think Laura is bound to be more self conscious about people noticing their feelings for each other than Bill is, not least because Bill would be fully aware of the fact that his crew drink like fish and wouldn't care by this point. Laura has to think about appearances far more.
I'd love to have seen scenes like this in the actual show.
They so needed it indeed! It would have been awesome. Can you imagine?
I played 'Gaeta's Lament' to my sister the other day, and she asked me what the reason for it was, and I told her they had a musical episode. And she believed me. Hee hee hee.
