Can't. Stop. Laughing
Over on the deleted scenes discussion on bsg_epics, nicole_anell pointed out that apparently, at one point, RDM had toyed with the idea of having Hera die/disappear or something, and instead having Laura be the 'daughter' that Caprica Six and Baltar were meant to have, as Laura had cylon blood.
I never heard that before.
And now I cannot stop giggling at the idea of Baltar realising that Laura was meant to be his kid, and getting all confused because he was meant to be her father and yet he kept on fantasising about her, and then going and trying to play Daddy to her in a really stereotypical fashion because he actually has no real idea what being a dad was all about, and trying to give her advice about boys and give her a curfew.
And now I want to write it. It'd be cracky as hell, but I still want to write it (but I never will because I never get around to writing anything that I want to write).
