Have you tried Jane Aus10's stories? They're on FFN and they're not purely Laura-centric, but there's loads of Laura and Bill with a nod to past A/R... It's HUGE. There's a sequel, too, which is currently at over 200,000 words and counting. Even if you're normally allergic to fic with lots of Kara or K/L, try this. And if you like, I'll email you my epic fic list, assuming I can find your addy!
Funnily enough, I have just read them and love them and they're the reason I'm in the mood for more! I'm slightly afraid she's going to end up killing off Laura and John and handing Braedon over to Kara and Lee to bring up, though, in which case I will sulk because I love them. And I'm hoping Kara starts to appreciate Laura a bit more because I feel like she's done a pretty good job so far, and Kara isn't reciprocating. Course, it's a Kara-centric fic so I guess that's to be expected to some degree.
I would love your epic fic list! silverstar1610 AT gmail.com. Thank you!
These two are mine and you may have read them, but they both do have a lot of Laura, even if she isn't the main character.
The Space Between Us. It's billed mainly as a Gaeta/Hoshi fic, but there's a lot of everyone in it. Ensemble. Unfortunately, it does not have a happy ending for Laura, but you might enjoy it anyway.
Agency. I'd be really, REALLY curious to see what a Laura fan thinks of this one. It's a crossover with Dollhouse, but you don't need to know Dollhouse to understand the crossover- what really crosses over is the technology, and the prologue explains it. Laura is the antihero in this one- this is the Laura that kidnaps
( ... )
I've read the Laura-centric Big Bangs, but haven't really delved much into the others, but I shall! That would have been the obvious starting point, wouldnt it? I R dumb at times.
I will have a read of your two fics, most definitely! And let you know what I think about Agency particularly. I haven't watched Dollhouse, but I know a little bit about the premise, so hopefully that will be enough to make it make sense :)
throughout this whole thing she knows what she's doing is not necessarily morally right, but it's BEST
LOL, well, that's our Laura. However much she hates doing something, if it's going to give the most people the greatest chance of surviving, she'll do it, even if it rips her own heart and soul to shreds to do it. That's what I love about her, in a lot of ways.
You don't need to know much at all about Dollhouse to read Agency- the basic premise is enough. (Although I can promise you that not once after making Actives does Laura even THINK about using them for sexual purposes. I think the ethics on THAT one are black and white. No, Laura has much more noble ideas....) But yeah- all that really happens crossover wise is that Laura gets her hands on the technology. A few characters come with it and one of the subplots makes a little more sense if you know the story, but it's a minor subplot. All of the POVs are BSG characters, and it's a lot of Laura vs. Zarek >:)

That's exactly what I adore about her. I think that's what makes the character so compelling to me. She's not a perfect little savior of humanity- she does what she has to do. ::hmm

Yup! Perfect characters are dull as hell. I love the fact that every character in BSG has his or her flaws and bad points. It makes them real. I can't think of a single character that is wholly good or bad, which I adore. And every single character has points at which I adore them, and points at which I can't believe they just did what they did.
I love that Laura does some awful things, but everything comes from such a good, good place in her heart, but at the same time, you're going "Noooooooo!" Well, "noooooo!" and "Yes, I can see exactly why you did that and it makes perfect sense and I support it fully." Both at the same time. I dunno how she does that.
Hi! I'm excited to see prop!crackiness/humour. *is always open to entertainment*
As for epic fics, I believe you've either read or have already been recced many of the ones I know of. (There's a few more of FF.net that I've read, but I'm not sure about them.)
Also, Emma Ockham is altitudeandwine. :) And yes, amazing writing.
I'm not sure if this fits epic, since it's not even one-fifth of the length you mentioned, but I loved this story: Galactica Noir by someone on SI, and while not very long, it's very good.
And since you've just mentioned OC's yesterday, and this is literally The Epic by dixgrl78 - it's long and very, VERY interesting

Have you read the one by Oksana where Laura teams up with Dee and Racetrack to provoke Bill at a literal dance? And Dee dresses as a boy? Can't remember the title, but I re-read it the other day. So fun.
I think there was a period of time after my first hospital release that I basically sat and read all the BSG stories in her archive (journal). She writes, in particular I think, a wonderful Dee.
:) Have you read others of hers? If not, there's a post-Sacrifice fic with her and Dee that's brilliant, and a Cylon!Adama fic that's all sort of angst but also wonderful.
Is the post-Sacrifice one the fic where Dee finds Laura crying (or trying NOT to cry) in the head and Laura tells her that her life had better be worth the price Billy paid for it? I love that one. What's the cylon!Adama one? I may have read it, but it doesn't immediately ring a bell...

IIRC, there was quite a bit of Laura in Voice of Reason by grey_sw. Season 4.5, lots of things go BOOM. :)
I assume you've read The Division Bell.
And one of my all-time favorites that focuses on Laura and Ellen: Two Roads Diverged by icedteainthebag
A few I haven't read, but are heavy on Laura:
Over the Rainbow by ddagent
At Breaking Point by bossanovababy24
The Drowned Rat and the Commander by sira01 and ufp13

::hmm. No Laura icons.::
I have many many many. Go steal ;)

Have you read "No phoenix for Roslin" by Emma Ockham (it's easy to find on SI)? Really affecting, really great longer story.

I think I have. I recall it making me cry lots? Does that sound about right? However, well worth another read!
