So, I registered for this Symposium at MIT about women in science & engineering, and I've recently decided I can't go. Anybody out there interested in going in my place? Or at least purchasing my ticket for "Truth Values: One Girl’s Romp through MIT’s Math Maze"The symposium is March 28-29, the show is Monday March 28. I would totally love to go ( Read more... )

I've been wanting to go to Truth Values! How much is the ticket?

$15. It's the one part of the registration that isn't refundable, so I'm glad to find someone interested!

Yes please! No idea how to coordinate it but I'm sure we'll figure something out. You have my email address?

Okay! When I ask for the refund on the conference fee, I'll also ask how to transfer the ticket.

thanks!

I saw the play - it was good, and I ran into a senior (male) colleague, which was interesting...

Yeah, need to check LJ more often and I'll get more theatre tickets. Stupid meetings!

I'm vaguely interested in the symposium, but it's not as attractive as a similar event held recently that was specific to mathematicians.

Drat, I was too slow :) I really want to see the show though. Is there any way to buy a show ticket without also buying a conference membership?

Actually, it looks like you might be able to register for just the show without attending the conference at all. Try it and see?
