Year in Review 2004

Jan 07, 2005 11:20

I belatedly did one of those recent writing memes over in my pro lj, and in the midst thought of doing a wordcount tally for the year, pro vs. fanfic. And once I did the annoying part of collecting all the stories I did this year, I figured I might as well do the Year in Review meme. Also, I've gotten around to updating my fanfic site with a bunch ( Read more... )

I think I would give my left arm if you'd write more LAC. And I know, how greedy can I be, sheesh, look at all you've done! But you've got Ed, Bud, and the style down pat, you're honestly the best out there in that fandom, and I get tingles every time I revist your site to reread them, which would be, oh, at least once every week.

I'm very impressed that you've written so much fic as well as original stuff. You go, girl. Love, Roo

ps My unsolicited opinion isn't that it's the not-having-sex that does it, it's the not-having-sex-for-a-long-time-until-finally-there's-damned-hot-sex that does it, for me, at least. ^_^

Awesome! Some of the series I haven't seen, so I'm not sure what use my feedback would be on 'em, but the ones I *have* seen, I've read, and they have been amazing. You pack so much into so little and make sure we never just skim the lines.

My favs so far have been Stargate (you do an awesome Jack!) and the Eleventh Doorkeeper story for the Potterverse. You mix your pain and hope so beautifully. I pray your muse is kind to you in this coming year and supplies you with ... um. Lots of additional hours in the day in which to write. *grins*

Upon recently falling under Mr Fry's spell and being blessed with friends who are amazon savvy, I have recently got into Jeeves & Wooster and then remembered having seen a J&W fic on your site. So I went over to read it just now, and it is brilliant. The tone is wonderful, and oh this is so what I wish to have happened in canon! I should have known that it would be good, but I still didn't expect it that excelent - you really *can* write in any fandom. Thank you so much for sharing your fic with all of us! I was about to write that I hope to fall for another fandom you wrote/write in soon, but then I realised that it's more likely that the next thing written by you I'll read will be Temeraire. :)) I'll be sure to come back and gush, then, too, and hope it'll take off like a rocket.

I found the Jeeves and Wooster piece by accident, but I have to say I loved it! The pairing doesn't get enough love because it's so hard to do in the right style, but I think you nailed it!

What a lovely way to wake up to a sunny Sunday. Having no stalwart servant to bring me my coffee (within five minutes or not), I instead chose to indulge myself at the crack van, and I'm so pleased I did. Loved the orginal characters, thoroughly enjoyed the plot, and your writing was quite deliciously Plummy...well done! Off now to break the fast, still sadly sans servant. But awfully glad to know that Bertie and Jeeves are enjoying themselves of a morning!
