More fun with VirtualDub and encoding vid files

While making the DivX file for Duende, I finally figured out how to really get the file size down (the trick is to compress the audio to MP-3 instead of leaving it in WAV format), and as I was about to gloat about this to melina123, it occurred to me that maybe some of the rest of you would be interested in how Virtual Dub can be used both for this, and for ( Read more... )

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had a Panasonic DV codec already, but it wasn't that one. That was why I couldn't do anything with Kill Bill. Go figger.

I now will have to either redownload KB or else save these instructions for something else, but I'm so glad you posted them. Thank you again.

I downloaded the .wmv file (I have the WMP for the Mac) and I got the music, but no images...

Sorry, but it's always worked fine for me so I have no idea what the trouble might be. You could try googling for help; there are a lot of forums for discussion of divx encoding.
