I have the same problem regarding remembering stuff - my best friend from when we were ages 7 used to kick my bum all the time when we argued because she could rake up a whole raft of Bad Things she could remember me doing and I had no come back, as I could neither remember my own actions nor anything she'd done either. She could have been making it all up as far as I knew! I did keep a diary on and off for a while but that is now useless as reference as I spent most of the time banging on about my feelings instead of interesting events in my life. Oh lord.
The first part of December is the BESTEST time to go. The parks are nearly empty with most kids in school, everything is made up for Christmas, the weather is pleasant, and the resorts are at their lowest prices of the year. (The prices are low in Jan and Feb, too, but the Christmas decorations are all gone, and they start closing rides for maintenance.)
But one of the things about having a small kid for me has been learning that vacations are NOT vacations anymore.
Truer words were never spoken!
A colleague took her three-year-old princess-obsessed daughter to Disney World, and my advice to her was not to worry about the rides - at that age, there's plenty to do without waiting in a single line. The jumping fountains near Honey I Shrunk the Kids at EPCOT, the HISTK playground at HS, all of Main Street/Castle Forecourt at MK. And I said Disney can be perceived as being all about getting from one place to another and seeing it ALL ALL ALL, but that if the kid wanted to spend her whole day at Fantasyland, to just roll with it. Enjoy the moment instead of planning the day.
I like EPCOT because it's not as crowded as MK and each country has places to explore at your leisure. And it has Turtle Talk with Crush. :)

Ha! Exactly. And anything that makes that easier is fantastic, even if it was something I wouldn't have dreamed of doing pre-children!
