I loved your whole series of stories but this was my favorite. I'm a big fan of Mystique and I like how cunning and manipulative you've made her here. I like how very absent her moral values are. I like how, although she respects Erik and even loves him in a way, that doesn't mean she isn't willing to use him to achieve the result she wants. The way you describe her imaginings and thoughts are even cool and calculating. Great job.

And your story makes me wonder if faced with just such an ultimatum, would Xavier be willing to compromise in the hopes of redeeming Erik.
