ooo I've read Sara Gruen's previous novels, set on a dressage farm (because I love horses). I have to check this one out.

Oooohh, YAY The Kite Runner (I finished it about 2weeks ago), it's a beautiful beautiful book. I haven't seen the movie yet, not sure if I want to..
The 'Golden Compass' (which was called 'Northern Lights' in the UK) is also excellent, if you like it, definitely go on to read the rest of the trilogy, I LOVE Philip Pullman!
I might look into Water for Elephants, as we clearly have some of the same taste in books!

^oh cool, I read that a few years ago. I keep getting out more books from the library and not keeping track either.lol. And I'm not really following my list ;-P
