Hello, I just read Barthes Mythologies (1957) Lec 1,2,3. Whats your opinion of a socially constructed reality which is passed off as natural. Thanks, Matt

Is this question really for me? Pardon the incredulousness, but we're not LJ friends, and we don't have LJ friends or communities in common. It seems a little strange to be asked something like this out of nowhere. Anyway...
I agree that what we consider "real" and "natural" is socially constructed, which is not to say that I don't believe in the existence of an independent, objective reality--I just don't believe we can gain (full) access to it.
