Welcome, my friends, to the show that never ends. The UN has recently completed a board game called "The Road To Peace," designed for 10-12-year-old kids from Afghanistan. The game is intended to help the children deal with the realities of their lives in a positive manner, but realistically, it comes off as quite trite. Here are some of my ( Read more... )

This whole idea seems very Western to me. We won't be satisfied until everyone is playing their life like a video game. I'd love to see an Afghan version of the SIMs.

Heh, but the sad thing is that we'd only ever see an American-made Afghan Sims, where all the Sims ran around increasing their racial intolerance and secretly plotting to overthrow capitalist Simerica.

Or they'd have SIMs hostage videos streaming across Al Jazeera, just like the SIMs Mtv videos. Have you ever seen those? Laugh, cry...it depends on how drunk I am when watching said displays.
