Reasons to vid ‚Leave You On The Pavement’? The obvious, I thought this could work as interesting take on Diana Fowley from Scully’s standpoint and how for the first time Mulder wears blinders the size of DC to avoid the evident conclusion, that this woman is send to spy on him and corrupt his work on the x files. What sold me on the song or the part I used is that there isn’t primarily a jealous vibe, but the emotional impact of another woman suddenly in the picture and the consequences it has. Most noticeable Scully out of the blue finding herself in the age-old game of rivalry - not ready to be part of it and being unable to just sit back. I also loved the fact that this song has the balance between acknowledging and denying - ‘Yeah, I know this looks like pure jealousy, but I believe it is protection and how can you treat me like an emotional idiot after all we’ve been through?’
Technical notes worth mentioning? I played with light textures from gender in this one and I think they add a lot to the mood. Other than that? Excessive use of filters. Plus I never vidded faster, everything came together just right.
