I'm at the start of a long, hopefully relaxing, weekend. I needed to use up some vacation days before my 9 (?!) year work anniversary next month. I have no specific plans other than massive amounts of cleaning, TV watching, perhaps some baking, and hopefully finishing up an HH fic I've been working on. Actually, a draft is done, but it needs ( Read more... )

Congrats on the colleague development! I think you mentioned that incident to me before; sounds like a horrible person. And yay for a story ending! (As we know what annoying buggers they can be. *g*)

Yes, it's that person. I'm starting to believe in karma because I took the high road with the situation with her, didn't hope she got fired (she has two kids to support), and it worked out I don't have to see her anymore!

I was pretty shocked that I had an ending before I had a middle! And I was just working on revising it, but hunger now calls and I think I shall be making a trek to the gorcery store. But I am confidant that this draft will be done soon. :)

Thanks for the BSG note, I didn't realize it would run long. I shall double-check my Tivo since I'll be on a plane that night. Your weekend sounds wonderfully relaxing. :)

And congrats on being rid of your problem coworker!

Another name at work I can scratch off the list. ;)

I figured a lot of people didn't know about BSG and I better start with the reminders now. :)

I'm not ready to give up on the show yet. It has potential. One thing I did like was how the victim changed in his head as more information was found out about him. Of course, if it doesn't hook me in the next few weeks in it's new timeslot, Stargate: Atlantis is going to win out.

Don't like Raines. at all. But watched it anyway cause there was nothing else on. It's a shame, cause I really like Jeff Goldblum (but boy, has he gotten old or what?)

Gave October Road a shot too. Haven't made up my mind about that one, though.

I've heard not good things about October Road.

I don't know if Jeff looks old or just his age. At least he has his own hair and hasn't gained 100 pounds!

If anyone is wondering, yes, I did purposely take off Monday with the intention of staying up to the wee hours of the morning to obsess about/discuss the season finale. Wanna make something of it?

LOL! I used to love having BSG on Friday nights specifically because it gave me all weekend to wallow around in the latest developments. Now with it on late Sunday, I have to just go right to sleep (which can be damn hard to do!) then head off for work the next morning. The schedule change might have been good for the ratings, but it makes it harder to be an obsessed fangirl. ;)

And thanks for the heads-up on the broadcast length. I'd have been soooooooooooooooo frakking unhappy if I missed something.

The new schedule sucks for obsessed fans. I use to like being able to take my time on Saturday writing up my own thoughts and reading others. And then Sunday was podcast day. It's much harder to work all that in during the week.
