Even a busted window, stolen iPod, and very cold drive home can't ruin my night completely.

I saw one of the best shows I've seen in a long time tonight. The first two local bands were pretty good. Ryan's Hope was incredibly good. Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer continues to redefine "fun" for me. The Loved Ones are amazing.

2006 has been a pretty excellent year as far as new music was concerned. I've compiled a "Best-of" list. This feeling of uncertainty is the most liberating thing I've ever experienced. I have no idea where anything I'm doing these days will lead me to later in life. It's like this vast world of options in front of me. All I know for sure is that my current life situations make me feel the happiest I've ever been.

There's a lot about this area of Michigan (and MI in general) that I really don't like, but I still love Flint.
