I don't mind writing the essays so much as I'm afraid of what they'll do to my perception about my favorite novels, especially Pride and Prejudice. >< I had to do essays for Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, and frankly I don't care what statement Twain was making about slavery or society. I just liked the book, and I'd have trouble reading it again now. Hmph. I suppose I'll have to write about Elizabeth. Poor Elizabeth, I don't want to have to analyze how she was a STRNG CHERECTERR. I want to write the essay about Mary. It will be called 'This is why Mary Bennet will eat your brains.'

That makes sense. I suppose you could manage to write the essay and make it pretty much just 'this was a wonderful book' but said so that it takes up several pages. That's always fun, though it doesn't always work out.

PS--My characters take out and quote Stoker's book during their parties with their immortal buddies. They make fun of the book.
They're like "Hey, Vlad, look what Harker says about you here."
Yeah, I know, I'm odd:)
