Almost a week - that's nearly as long as I was here before, I believe. It would have been disappointing if I had left again, although I'm unaware of any patterns.

Nothing in particular. I avoided as much contact with people as possible, and subsequently use of the entire network. I only utilized it just now.

[Lelouch stares at the Dreamberry with a very unimpressed look on his face, not exactly happy to have heard from Rolo.]

Nothing in particular? Rolo, you wouldn't keep secrets from your brother, would you? You must have been doing something for the past week...

Of course not. [ unless he thought it would be better for lelouch if he kept a secret from him. not that he'll tell him that either, for his sake. ] Nothing aside from familiarizing myself with the town. It's quiet. I don't know what else there is to do here - entertaining myself is ineffective since I have little interest in doing so to begin with.

Espoir. Though I've been frequenting the tunnels all week. I guess you could say that's what I've been doing.

Go North until you reach the mansion on the outer edge of Espoir. I'll be waiting at the front gates. We have several things to discuss.

[ and with that he flips his device shut, placing it in his pocket as he immediately begins to follow lelouch's intructions and head north, his thoughts only on getting there and finally being able to see lelouch - not through a device, but physically. it's an exciting thing, and it puts a stride in his step as he heads for the location.

it's not long before he makes it there, either. as soon as the front gates come into view, he sees an immediately recognizable figure for him-

something about lelouch makes him happy - makes his already dysfunctional heart skip a beat. he hurries over to him with greater stride now - he's even smiling. ]

It- [ catching his breath ] -It's been a while, brother!

[ said entirely in a genuinely affectionate tone. for once, he's not acting. ]

[It didn't come as a surprise that Rolo eventually returned to Somarium. People come and go on a fairly frequent basis, despite the length of their stay. Three years, one week, time seems to be rather irrelevant in Somarium. Despite the fact that it didn't come as a surprise, he still did not want to see his younger "brother" again. That was a chapter in his life that closed months before his arrival in Somarium. His presence complicates things and, like every other member of his family (with the exception of Nunnally), makes his life far more difficult than it should be. He worries for Nunnally's safety, for Shirley's safety, too. While Rolo had, in a way, redeemed himself before his death, he is still the same unfortunate young man that took the place of Lelouch's beloved sister.]

It has been too long, if you ask me.

[The smile on his face and the warmth in his voice are both fabricated, but (thankfully) Lelouch is quite the actor and Rolo should never realize that the man behind the smiling face is far from happy. He is,

[ and, like always, rolo takes lelouch at face value. his words, his smile, his tone - it's 100% true to rolo, and if he were presented with the truth he'd dismiss it as lelouch lying. because he knows lelouch - and most predominantly, he knows he's a liar. but not to him - never to him. they were brothers, after all. ]

[ lelouch's theatrics affected him in a way unlike anyone else - most likely because they played with his heart. it's an advantageous tactic, but it's also a dangerous one - considering how it had caused him to act in ways that he normally never would have. killing shirley, for instance. and then there was nunnally...

he gestures toward the mansion. ]

[Curious as to the question Rolo has to ask, Lelouch wastes no time and ushers Rolo up the driveway and into the house, leading him to the front sitting room where they could comfortably sit and talk.]

Come, take a seat and make yourself comfortable. We've a lot to cover before C.C. gets home, unless you mind her joining our conversation.

[ and he does just that, although he looks around curiously within the mansion before taking a seat - he might even appear to be slightly anxious. ]

I don't mind C.C., the one I'm really concerned about is-

[His eyes narrow, one hundred percent of his attention turned toward Rolo. If subtle looks could kill, his "brother" would be extremely close to death right now.]
