Thanks so much!! I had to give Al someone who was in his corner no matter what, and Rose seemed the right choice.

I really love the relationship between Al and Rose. I'm glad he has someone he can just be himself with! 'Grandma Potter' threw me for a minute, until I realized you were talking about Lily. :D And no wonder Al's scared to come out to his family, what with James's apparent homophobia and Harry's continuous hints that Al needs to meet a girl. Poor Al!

I can't wait until next week. :D :D

Thanks!! Since I was going completely AU, I figured I could slip Grandma Lily in there. I'm imagining her as a fiesty old broad who won't be afraid to put her family in their place if then need it.

eeeeee! omg, i ADORE rose!!! her and albus have the cutest dynamic! lmfao at harry worrying over she and al engaging in 'hankuy-panky'!

i forgot that non-magical au means resurrection of lily potter gets to be in the picture. i really liked that moment, too, with al looking at his dad and grandmother and mentally tallying which family members would stick by his side and which ones would turn against him. such a very real thing for a queer person, that kind of mental inventory.

and that phone conversation was PURE LOVE! al is so cute it's adorable, and i've fallen head over heels for out-and-proud!activist!corey. i love how up front and self-assured he is, especially in contrast to al's nervous bashfulness. and that bit at the end with rose and vince was so freaking adorable!

i'm just loving this!

Thanks! I'm loving the Rose/Al dynamic myself--everyone should have a friend like they are to each other.

I'm glad this is all coming over as realistic because that's what I'm shooting for.
