Who thinks that Brick Heck from The Middle on ABC (in the US) has Asperger's?

He has some traits: he does that echolalia whisper thing and apparently he remembers every word he's ever read and he does not have very good social skills.http://www.hulu.com/

I adore that kid.
He reminds me of me when I was a kid because I'd take out a zillion library books and take a long time to bring them back.

I think he does, and I like that the show actually encourages acceptance of this rather than making him magically cure in a very special episode.

The cookout episode started out with him going through some social skills tutoring program that looked like the ones we've probably all been through in special education, then ended with his dad telling him it was okay for him to be the way he was.

I'm happy the writers did that, instead of ending it with him making a million friends. Maybe one of them is aspie?
