Medication question

I was prescribed Celexa by one of my HMO's psychiatrists, and I've been on it for about a month. So far the only difference I've noticed (good or bad) is that I'm having a harder time dealing with overstimulation, especially noisy environments. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I was on Celexa for about two years and a half years aside from stopping me from cutting for the most part, I didn't really notice that much of a difference.

Celexa made me feel horrible. Didn't work for me at all. I was really really anxious at the time and it actually increased my anxiety.
Doesn't it take a while to start actually working though? I would think after a month it would be but who knows?

My Doc told me it shouldn't take more than a month before I started noticing a difference..

I was taking it back in 2005, I stopped it after a month.

To me, it was pretty much useless.

Tell the shrink. Not every med works for every person and it's needed data.

Celexa didn't have any effect on me except for a slight lessening of sexual function. idiotgrrl is right; the shrink needs to know this medication is not working for you. Unfortunately, a lot of people on the spectrum respond weirdly to meds.

hmm, celexa for me basically was the miracle drug..total night/day difference...

i'm used to noisy environments as long as i can hide away for a bit after them..i am a high school teacher, after all!
