On the other hand, who knows? The mercury thing is clearly wrong, but MMR is a live virus vaccine, and adverse reactions can happen, sometimes affecting the brain. It could well be a case of "rare, severe vaccine reaction" causing some or all of her problems ("autism" is just a name for a collection of symptoms, not all of which necessarily have the same direct cause--she could well have had some autistic traits beforehand, which combined with things caused by the vaccine reaction produced an autistic person), and not "oh no MMR causes autism!". Basically, these people need to get their causation worked out much, much more clearly before making a judgment.

Yeah, sounds to me that she's more than just autistic. And that she may well have been showing autistic traits pre-vaccine as well.
