ahhh... self-teaching yourself guitar is a pain. I'm mostly self taught, though I did have a little help from my mom and dad if I asked. I used guitar books and chord sheets and just practiced those for a while... I found it easier that people telling me what to do. xDD

I've been practicing for only about 2-3ish years? xD; In my first year, I went to a guitar class at my school for a bit. It was free, thank god, since I didn't really learn anything. Haha, my teacher was always busy with the other students because I already knew the things he was teaching... Same with the one I went to last year at my school. He actually had me helping the other students... it was kinda fun though. xD iamahorribleteacherthough.

I was trying to teach my sister like, last week, and it was pretty funny. xDD

Yes. I think books were really helpful. Though, I didn't really read the books. xD I actually just used it to know how to read the chord charts and stuff. And then I figured out how to read tabs.
